Alexis Walsh is a designer and artist based in New York City. Through the exploration of emerging technologies including 3D printing and digital modeling, integrated with traditional handcraft, Alexis utilizes an interdisciplinary approach to push the boundaries of fashion design. With a process deeply rooted in craft,
Alexis personally handsews every garment and accessory. The 3D printed components are made using both biodegradable plant-based plastics and through using an innovative zero-waste production process. Alexis graduated from Parsons The New School for Design with honors. Since then, her work has been exhibited in New York, Boston, Paris, London, Moscow, Madrid, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt and Berlin.
In 2020, Alexis launched a jewelry brand with partner Justin Hattendorf. JAW Studio offers made-to-order 3D printed jewelry, produced using innovative and sustainable fabrications.
