Jell-O is a wobbly affair, ever vibrating, twisting, and bouncing. To negotiate with Jell-O is to accept a fluid, inconsistent dialogue. It is both carefully molded, and yet humorously fragile. The nature of Jell-O increasingly allows a facetious canvas on which to paint the more sensitive topics explored throughout this collection.

Whether it be playing with barriers, both physical and societal, attacking the notion of body image and body fat, or dissecting the life of the twentieth century American housewife, Jell-O’s dalliance with both sculptured rigidity and jocular malleability, offers a wry combo of exploration.
