Ramona Niroomand’s art is about the discovery of new notions in her journey as a designer and a person. She uses her life events as inspiration for her works and reveals her hopes, failures, successes and childhood memories in her design. Being from Iran and also having lived in Western countries for the past 9 years of her life, has given a fusion vibe to her designs. Ramona’s sources of inspiration range from her love for beauty in nature, music, indigenous people and symbols. Since the start of her career in Visual Communications and Fashion & Textile Design in Sydney Australia, she has been obsessed with using nature and organic forms, shapes and colours. This has also been the main theme in her Jewellery & Silversmithing collections. Having studied traditional techniques in different arts has enabled her to experiment with different mediums and materials. Ramona likes to work on projects that depict kindness and unity between human beings and the Planet and are thought provoking, focusing on current social issues.
