For this project I was inspired by geometric ornamented vaulting In Iranian architecture and experimented with creating these patterns using organic shapes, forms and materials.
Upon doing research about the original artists who created these architectural shapes, i learnt that their source of inspiration were organic shapes and forms in nature such as icicle in caves.
This was also a source of inspiration for me to use different contradicting materials to create a contemporary design using traditional patterns.
