The collection “Sad, mad or bad” tells of Brazilian’s superstitions and popular beliefs, creating narratives through fabric juxtaposition and silhouette manipulation. Each piece was conceived in a process of deconstruction and reconstruction, where classic garment features were manipulated to create the unexpected. As the source of inspiration for this work had a lot of signification and history, it was crucial to explores the stories behind each material, and how its use would affect the message conveyed at the end. Thus, whether through cutting or through the opposition and mixture of textures and textiles, each look aims to instigate the contrast between chaos and control and explore the clashing of conventional fashion elements with the unexpected and the odd.
