My inspiration for Don't be normal was 90s rap. What inspired me about 90s rap is the aura of not caring. I wanted to make a collection that said “if you are not normal, you are a target” because people will always have something to say about people who they see as not normal. Then I came up with the name don’t be normal, because I wanted my collection to be for the outsiders. I wanted for whoever whore these garments to just be themselves and own who they are. 90s rap also appealed to me because of the streetwear style and dark colours. My collection was designed for spring/summer 2020 because of its versatility. I chose to use materials such as corduroy, cotton, and sweat shirting.
