My inspiration for Don't be normal was 90s rap. What inspired me about 90s rap is the aura of not caring. I wanted to make a collection that said “if you are not normal, you are a target” because people will always have something to say about people who they see as not normal. Then I came up with the name don’t be normal, because I wanted my collection to be for the outsiders. I wanted for whoever whore these garments to just be themselves and own who they are. 90s rap also appealed to me because of the streetwear style and dark colours.
