MEI KAWA is a play on words that comes from the name of the designer Emese Kasza. In addition, it means "Don't cry for me any longer" in Singaporean Mandarin.

The first part - 'MEIKA' - with its tingling sound, refers to the female qualities that we regard as important: soft and graceful in appearance, showing refined taste and style, acting playful and vivacious while remaining modestly sensual and hip at the same time. Overall, it shows a strong influence of Nordic minimalism - calmness, purity, simplicity and functionality - while irony and humour lie hidden in the details.

KAWA is about the men's side. It is dynamic and distinct, characteristic and elaborate. Focusing on the man who wants to stand out of the crowd and be somewhat different. He wants to be unique in his appearance, to dress from a well-distinguished and stylish wardrobe, instead of serving the garment trade. Despite structured, straight-cut tailoring, the feeling of comfort and ease is offered by the clothing, due to the fine selection of fabrics. The brand attempts to elevate the man from being unnoticeable, to become remarkable.

MEI KAWA is the one and only rendezvous of the female and male attitudes. They reflect upon, complete and effect one other, fuse with and melt into one another. The men's collection offers style and harmony; women's dressing becomes sensible, changeable and frisky. Abstraction and function is well balanced here. Pure forms filtered with humour, natural fabrics with extraordinary tailoring methods.

MEI KAWA the birth of a different quality.
