LUXO GANG is a brand that suggests an ironic and exaggerated look at the Argentine, daring to push new limits.It seeks to get the user out of their comfort zone while maintaining the elegance. It arises from the creation of a world in which Alexandra of Kent, belonging to the royal family, accompanied by all its protocols, makes a journey into the future and arrives in an Argentina with a 2000s style, and a neokitsch aesthetic full of colors, as time goes by the princess begins to adopt all the characteristics of this world, in which she ends up transforming into a true Argentinian. Meanwhile, the photographer Marcos López and his series called Pop Latino are referred to as reference, which is inspired by Argentina, where certain moments of daily life highlight situations of those times we tend to overlook every day. The royal protocol is another aspect that was taken throughout the collection such as the decorations used in public participations and their ways of dressing.Throughout the collection we worked with the field of tailoring, jeans, weavery, haberdashery, corsetry and the deconstruction of haute couture. We also created our own inspired prints on the pied de poule and the Prince of Wales and worked handmade embroidery
To work this collection, we focused on making it sustainable as we take care of the production process of the garments; being an author design, they are of excellent quality therefore we avoided the unnecessary waste of garments, since these have a longer shelf life than a season.Therefore the user will not have to renew them every season .It is intended to be as sustainable as possible throughout the process, since when cutting the garments we took full advantage of them, and with the leftovers we created the textures that accompany the collection .We created a different mold, where several of the garments are made up of strips from the width of the fabric, having no waste as a consequence
