National College of Art and Design

The National College of Art and Design (NCAD) occupies a unique position in art and design education in Ireland. We offer the largest range of Art and Design degrees in Ireland at undergraduate and postgraduate level, and we are the only Irish university institution specialising in Art and Design with over 250 years of history behind us.

Studying at NCAD is about excellence in art and design. Our undergraduate and post graduate fashion courses encourage students to have an awareness of fashion in its social and cultural context and to bring that understanding to their work.  We place great value on the fashion industry and our professional links that give our students an insight into real-world commercial requirements. NCAD is focused on developing informed, creative designers, who are prepared for the needs of industry.

Studying at NCAD is also about your journey as a student which we hope will be full of delight and discovery.  We hope our students are enriched by the experience of working within a creative community, exploring their own creative response to the world around them and being actively engaged socially and culturally with their peers.
