Nocturne

Nocturne

I draw inspiration from childhood nights. In kindergarten, my grandmother's comforting embrace, her floral-printed rayon nightgown, provided intimacy and security. As I transitioned to sleeping alone, fear of the dark heightened my senses, allowing me to perceive the night as a canvas of colors. The dim lantern's light cast shadows, forming captivating, distorted shapes, seemingly narrating stories. I explore the interplay of authenticity and illusion, light and shadow, and the creation of intricate structures within distorted perspectives.
