Papilio Corpus is a collection that showcases the atypical beauty found in caterpillars and moths. The textures, shapes, mannerisms and metamorphosis of these animals are utilised to demonstrate the transformations seen in humans. This combination creates an intimidatingly beautiful aesthetic to portray how personality masking manifests within a person. A selection of the designs use transformation patterncutting to create garments that change shape and function. The pieces either convert to cover up the body constructing armour or reveal the figure and its hidden textures.
