When I was a child in Heilongjiang I went to the vegetable market with my grandmother, I found a picture of street sellers in the British Library from 1876 which reminded me of the experience; the energy, the feeling of childhood, and home.
The atmosphere of the Chinese market, the clothes of the people in the vegetable market, and the clothing of my grandmother and her friends and my love of the music and attitude of Chinese band “The second hand rose” inspired this collection.
