The designer found an inspiration for the collection in an old doormat made by her great-grandmother, who was born in 1911. The doormat reminds her of her beloved great-grandmother and makes her think about transience of human life and meaning of human existence. The doormat also has a beautiful but ratty texture, which she has transmitted on her outfits with a special innovative technique that combines old hand techniques of quilting and smocking. She used handwork in her collection as a contrast to nowadays-quick lifestyle and fast fashion industry.
