'Container' is blackburn's graduate collection of six soft sculptures, doubled as wearable bags. Each container expanding on her interest in obsolete military gear, orthopedics and body armor. Focusing on their shifts from tactical to decorative objects, whilst contemplating 'aesthetic function'. Pulling from the aesthetics of weather-resistant flight suits and distressed street finds, the combination of synthetics and recycled materials attempt to create an unidentifiable sense of newness for the user.
