The collection was born out of a a wish to explore tensions between the natural world and man-made structures. As I was researching plants and zooming in on certain shapes and situations, I noticed what held my attention more than anything was the conversations that occur as humans try to control or constrict living organism. What happens with a flower seen through the glass of a vase? How do plants interact with the paraphernalia of a green house?
