The Kivutienne collection is a blend between an handcrafted skills that, the designer learned from her childhood in Democratic Republic of Congo. The materials in this collection are mixed and very unusual but it gives the collection a sense of freedom to explore and of movement for the wearer. The inspiration for this collection comes from instability, power, and social issues around the East Africa. The metallic gold and yellow colors plus the choice of zigzag fabric tell a whole story which is behind this collection.
