I have always tried to find the balance between excess and simplicity in my design process. For this Fall/Winter 2011 collection, I started with the concept of excess.
Hundreds of images of beads, pearls, feathers, diamonds, fur, and various jewels were collected and then synthesized for their symbolic value. A structured play between the seemingly opposite ideals was created.
