Kinetic Twist was primarily based on the kinetic works of the futurist artist and designer Bruno Munari. The collection was initially inspired by a kinetic installation on display at the ‘Bruno Munari: My Futurist Past’ exhibition at the Estorick Collection in London. The twists and folds in this three-dimensional ‘Concave-Convex’ sculpture played a major influence throughout the design process. The structure itself represented the infinite curvature of space, a theme continually explored and referenced throughout the collection.
