My final major project draws inspiration from Edogawa Ranpo's unsettling yet romantic tale, 'The Human Chair.' The story revolves around a man's desperate attempt to get closer to a woman by concealing himself within a sofa. The unsuspecting woman, captivated by the sofa's texture and touch, grows fond of it, only to discover the hidden occupant inside. Surprisingly, instead of being frightened, she becomes infatuated with the notion of the sofa becoming the man's new "skin." Tragically, the man eventually perishes within the confines of the sofa.
