Women from villages all over the world make beautiful handmade traditional fabrics with bright colours and patterns. They learned the skills from their mothers, and all of the mothers before them. But up to now the fashion world is familiar with very few of their crafts. Many traditional fabrics remain unknown treasures to the global fashion community.
Because most of these crafters do not have a modern Avenue for their handmade crafts, their quality of life remains similar to their parents and grand parents.
