Christian Westphal is born in Copenhagen and graduated from Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne. Christian Westphal began his career in Paris working at Christian Dior and later Emanuel Ungaro at Atelier Flou before working as the assistant to Delphine Murat.
In 2006 Christian launches his high end menswear brand, having the opportunity to design a collection in perfect tune with his own personal philosophy.
For Christian Westphal the classic tailoring is always a number one priority, and the synergy with the trends gives the collection an unconventional luxury.
A brand whose essence lies in its contrasting yet complementary features. Attention to detail and love of fabrics are something Christian Westphal honours and for which he stand ready to walk the extra mile in order to achieve.
The traditional construction process and unique workmanship guarantee a high appreciated quality and an exclusive collection for the high end of the contemporary menswear fashion market.
Christian Westphal launched his first womenswear collection in his own name for Autumn Winter 2011 in Paris, March 2011: Westphal has turned back to the world of the couture techniques, which he had so powerfully harnessed in his Paris years. "I wanted to get back to the handcraft I love, and the things that are being lost in the making of fashion.
Women also ask for masculine tailoring and shirting, but they want to feel fragile at the same time".
Discretion is an honourable cause for Christian Westphal, and therefore he enjoys portraiting the characters as participants in the circus of his own life.
