Graduation year

2019

Born and raised in Ireland.
i graduated from the National College of Art and Design in 2018, receiving an honours degree in Fashion Design. Leaving not only with my degree and interest in fashion, but also with passions for sculpture, graphic design and the art world among us.

With over three years of professional experience and a lifetime of lessons from my grandmother, in 2019 i had the exciting opportunity to move to New York. consumed with opportunities, i had the luxery of working across all areas in the industry. I was assisting various stylists, artists, photographers, and design houses.

Unfortunately, due to the global pandemic, like so many others, I had to suddenly move home to Ireland and leave New York and my career behind me. i decided this time at home could be an opportunity itself and began to make a new collection. I was inspired by my return to Ireland and I proceeded to explore my heritage.
For this collection, I wanted sustainability to play a very prominent role and I am fortunate enough to have my Grandmother, who very kindly donated all of her traditional Irish linen tablecloths to me. With each one enwrought with beautiful hand-sewn embroideries and embellishments, and even some dinner stains! Every cloth contained a story of its own, having lasted and remained in such good condition for all these years. Trying to work with what we have (even old tablecloths) instead of the continuous demand for producing new fabrics season after season, might just be one little step in the right direction.

my focus continues to stem from my inspirational Irish roots and heritage, as well as always keeping a sustainable/CONSCIOUS path in mind.
