The collection comes from designer's daily experience of making “DIY”(Do it yourself) packages. In this collection, she focus on handcraft techniques, which she learned from the experiences, such as ribbon embroidery, yarn embroidery, etc. She researched all these skills, then she enlarged these DIY outcomes, and use the business idea of reproduction of the packages to layer all the skills up, in order to show these traditional skills in an innovative way. When she enlarged the embroidery, she made it 9 times larger than original, that is why this collection was called XXXXXXXXXL, it means 9 times extra large and extra layers. In the whole developing process what she enlarged is not only the design, but also her mind and possibilities.
