Whatever works started as a craft compulsion, and now I hope to demonstrate the beauty and feasibility of upcycled and sustainable fashion. I love making things and I'm obsessed with clothes. Besides being a crafty person, I'm trying to get into nursing school and I'm a mom. I have a hard time putting my craft implements down for homework. Sometimes I find inspiration for art in my homework. A chlorophyll molecule makes a nice crochet motif and my favorite jacket was created because of a painting in a history text book. I realize my fashion habit has repercussions on the planet. By creating and promoting upcycled wares I hope to minimize the detrimental effects caused by my obsession. You don't have to be dressed in drab to be green and sustainable fashion does not need to be a contradiction of terms!
