From the laid back city of Kota Kinabalu, Sabah in Malaysia, Aaron with his eponymous label “weihaoyong” has been selected to represent Malaysia in the Harper’s Bazaar New Generation Designer Award 2016. Premiering his inaugural collection that showcases impeccable tailoring skills, diverse techniques and a tasteful juxtaposition of fabrications.

With a design philosophy based on the architectural idea Brutalism. Aaron believes that in all garments, form follows function. His constructions feature cuttings which are formed through the most minimal amount of pieces while respecting the “flow” of a garment. Ensuring comfort, function and accentuation in all its capable form. The label strives for versatility within an everyday wardrobe, providing practical and hassle-free staple pieces that don’t necessarily need constant and meticulous maintenance for the wearer.
