Vintage Amelia is a UK based small scale social enterprise benefiting war widows of decades of brutal ethnic war in North-East region of Sri Lanka. In 2009, the conflict was ended with the hope of harmonising the nation and bringing back to its former glory. We employ talented and skilful women with young families who are in much financial need. However, there are some dark shadows left behind the cruelty of the war. Some of our skilful workforce has been disabled and have been deprived of receiving even a basic education. This has prevented them seeking any other employment. We support and help them school their children while living as family working and creating most elegant piece of cloth you are just about to buy. Our project has enabled us to discover incredible human potential, which produce some great artistic talents on some occasions wasted by the cruelty of the firearms and gunfights.

Our exclusive silk and voile designerwear collection is specially created for you using batik techniques used in beautiful tropical island, Sri Lanka. Every single piece of fabric is individually hand crafted to make a unique design and one of the kinds.
