I am a fashion designer who explores and experiments with the aspects of fabric manipulation. Born in Delhi and brought up in Belfast, UK. I have had the opportunity to experience a combination of cultures. ‘Embodied’, my graduate collection is an extract of just that. It is an evening wear collection for women, representing my inspiration which hails from my Indian heritage, combined with Northern Irish and Indian architectural aspects which act as the backbone of my work. My fabric choices reflect my culture, silk; acts as a symbol of a rich and colourful culture. It compliments and excites my ideas of fabric manipulation. I explore the usual aspects of manipulation and mould them into something with a personal yet modern look, an essence of east meets west.
