The vibe

I'm Carlotta Poletto, founder and designer of The
Vibe. I was born in 1998 in Arzignano, Europe's
biggest tannery district where the art of creating leather has been handed down from generation to generation. After graduating from the University
Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan in Media Studies
I started working for the family company: Poletto
Leathers. The tannery has been producing and selling finished leather for over 30 years worldwide to the biggest fashion houses, awarded as one of the
"Companies to inspire Europe" by the London
Stock Exchange, "Magnificient 500" by italian journal Il Corriere della Sera, and "High potential companies" by the Italian Stock Exchange. Working there for years, I really got to know the specifics and the beauty of such an "alive" material. Seeing personally a market gap in the leather womenswear area I started studying tailoring and got a degree by the end of 2022. The Veneto's area is well known for leather manufacturers, so I looked for the perfect lab to collaborate to create 100% Made in Italy high quality leather pieces. worked with the tanneries to find a leather that was resistant enough, comfortable and shaping at the same time. The leather used respects sustainability standards with certifications and is the result of the food industry. I did not want the vibe to be just a transaction, i wanted to send a message: women redefining leather envisioning other women, spreading a sense of strong and self confident femininity. for this reason the vibe supports the donna chiama donna association, which helps women victims of abuse.
