Verónica Madueño is a Peruvian textile and clothing designer, currently based in Lima-Peru. She graduated from PUCP with a degree in Art, Fashion and Textile Design. Three consecutive years winner of the Winternitz Award for her academic performance and winner (1st shared prize) of the Critics Award for her thesis "Aesthetic experience in textile and clothing design: creating from the senses with biomaterials".

Her explorations respond to break with the schemes established by the fashion system, embracing interdisciplinary proposals between clothing and health, clothing and industrial design and, lately, clothing and biology; where she seeks to unlearn the traditional concepts when designing clothes to approach a complex creative process from a critical position. .

Her thesis project, Experienciar (2021), seeks to awaken the senses when dressing from an organic perspective, using biomaterials from infusions to create garments that can be seen, smelled, eaten and touched, getting out of the privilege of sight when creating a collection of clothing and where she combines another of her main interests: weaving.

Her latest explorations continue along the path of biodesign, looking for different edges and circumstances that generate opportunities for sustainable development both from an environmental perspective and as a social advance for her country.
