Delicate and architectural – the Delicate Florae collection was born from a passion to explore the surrounding environment and analyse intricate shapes in architecture.
The designer’s starting references were her own photographs and sketches made during journeys across Europe. Various elements of towns, distinct architecture, people, and nature influenced the initial concept of the collection. The unique spirit from different places inspired the designer to translate these ideas into garments.
Merging a broader context of references found in antique botany books and famous organic architecture, the designer effectively creates the vision of a glamorous lifestyle.
It envisions a balanced world, where the busy metropolis forms a strong bond with nature and becomes a place of freedom and contemplation.
Deliciae Florae reflects naturalistic and structural motifs, expressed in fabric manipulations, silhouettes, textures and prints. The designer tells this story through the soft pastel-coloured materials. Light beige, white, pink and ivory color tones set a romantic and peaceful atmosphere to the whole story.
The collection was designed and handmade in the VALDONE Au Atelier in Aberdeen, Scotland using the highest quality, sustainable fabrics including certified organic cotton, British heritage wool, bamboo silk and in-house designed, digitally printed materials.
