Han YI tseng is a M2 student at Enamoma with a focus in textile, particularly. his passion for creating unique fabric has been evident in his involvement in Enamoma as well as his previous academic training. Due to his fashion design background, he is able to create a collection to which he can apply his expertise in textile treatments as his final project. he also hope that he will have opportunities to work with different fashion houses or designers as a textile designer after his graduation.

This graduate project is all about preservation. the core value of this collection consists of upcycling methods as well as archival fashion. I leverage upcycling methods such as needle-punching, machine embroidery, hand-weaving and quilting to revive leftover fabric or reproduce vintage textiles with textile studios. Not only does upcycling present an opportunity to navigate the creative process, but it also enables me to recover the value of a discarded garment and to create a renewable resource, contributing to reducing massive waste by the use of leftover materials and dead-stock fabrics.
