Toy Syndrome by Natalya Nyn fuses an edgy, youthful sportswear aesthetic with 3-dimensional surface appliqué--equal parts sophistication and childhood caprice. Using "toy embroidery", hand dying techniques and complex textures, the brand, which began with t shirts in 2012, currently carries a full collection of designs.

Worn on Girls by Lena Dunham and Tavi Gavinson and featured on Refinery29, Fashionista and Nylon Magazine. Toy Syndrome is gaining recognition and sales in the ever-expanding counter-culture alternative market.

Born in Moscow, Natalya Nyn spent her childhood living and traveling between the cosmopolitan Russian capital and the desolate beauty of the plains of Siberia. Arriving in New York in 1997, she graduated from The Fashion Institute of Technology, and was apprenticed at Oscar de la Renta. After working part time as a Research Assistant for the Costume Institute of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Natalya landed a job as a draper at Zac Posen before being hired away as a patternmaker for the haute couture atelier, J. Mendel. Combining high fashion techniques with youth-driven street chic, Nyn's designs cater to a wide audience of youthful ladies and gents that just want to have fun.
