TRACES OF ME

Teresa Martins was born in Portugal. A mother of three boys with an education on Biology and a long University teaching practice, she started embracing the world of arts in her twenties, creating her first interior retail decoration shop.

Later she jointly launched a successful decoration wholesaler in Portugal, enlarging her aesthetics perspective and worldwide contacts.

Her eclectic personality has led her through multiple interests, ranging from painting, to ceramics, interior decoration, stand designs and window display design. For 7 years she was also responsible for the image of all retail, special events and fairs of Vista Alegre, the most prominent Portuguese porcelain and table wear brand, renown for more then 175 years.

Her current passion his Traces of me, a new brand of Fashion and Home products, designed with a unique concept of beauty, mixing colours, textures and details under a very personal touch. Its products are marketed all over the world, in a net of more than 100 retail shops and shown twice a year during the Portuguese Fashion week.

Every artist expresses its inner emotions through his work. Teresa communicates a fairy tale world, inserting magic and passion in each TRACES OF ME element, either meant to dress a home or a body.

Her work has been covered in several magazines and newspapers, from Elle to Coté Sud, Maison Française, Vogue, Evasões, Blue Living, Casa e Decoração, Máxima Interiores, Vista Alegre Magazine, Casa Claudia , Xis, Cubo, Lux Woman, Visão, Chocolate, Essential Lisboa, Poggen Pohl Magasine, UP, Byzance, Relais&Châteuax Magasine, Vogue Orient, Elle Deco, etc

On her 2006 Paris show, TRACES OF ME was awarded the "Découvertes" prize by Coté Sud magazine for their Ceramic products. Presently, TM booth at Maison&Objet is on the first row of Hall Chic Ethnic and is considered an anchor brand for concept stores.

In 2011, TRACES OF ME was invited to join the Recommended Suppliers for Relais&Châteaux retailers.

TM team developed several textile design projects for other companies, such as Roche Bobois, France ; Maison Colonial, France; Taurus House, India ; Hotel Monaco, USA ; Hotel Areias do Seixo, Portugal ; Restaurante Casa da Comida, Portugal ; Weylandts SA, Princess Jawafer, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia ; Globus, Switzerland. In 2014, TM collection created an exclusive outfit for Lady Gaga, composed of a cape, a dress , boots and accessories, made of Portuguese cork, coated with gold and silver leaves and hand embroidered with metallic threads.

TM designs and produces two Fashion and Home collections a year.
These, are showcased in several International Trade shows, such as Maison&Objet and Who's Next in Paris, Interior Lifestyle in Tokyo, Scoop in London, Tranoi in Paris and New York City, and at our agent's showrooms in London, Rome, Milan, Paris, New York and Los Angeles.
TRACES OF ME catwalks are held twice a year during Portugal Fashion event.
