TIANYI LI

Tianyi Li was born in China and moved to England with her family when she was very young. In 2014, Tianyi’s talent was spotted by Istituto Marangoni at the London Graduate Fashion Week . Her graduate collection “VIVA LA VIDA” earned her a full scholarship to attend a master’s course in fashion womenwear at Istituto Marangoni London, which allowed her to develop her design skills.

The collection she presented at the end of her master’s degree “Labyrinth” was selected for the Istituto Marangoni 80th Anniversary show, held in Milan in 2015. This enriching experience encouraged Tianyi to continue her career in fashion. During her master’s degree at Istituto Marangoni, Tianyi was able to work on projects with brands like Fyodor Golan, Vivienne Westwood and Laura Biagiotti. She was also an intern at Giles Deacon and Alexander McQueen during her studies. After graduation, Tianyi Li worked as a design assistant for Ethologie and Ellis Bridals, a renowned bridal company .

This year, Tianyi participated in the selection of the designer of the second edition of I‘M Alumni Collections ®Evolution, a unique mentoring project aimed at supporting the talent of alumni. She sent a proposal for the S/S19 collection, and her avant-garde signature and technical skills made her the winner. Tianyi will present her first official “LIGHT & SPACE” collection in September 2018, during Milan Fashion Week.
