Thalia Bo

Thalia Botsari was born in Cyprus and moved to Brighton where she studied Fashion Design with Business Studies. Later her passion for Italian shoe making has taken her to Florence to study her Masters in Footwear design at the renowned Polimoda. After working for various companies in London as a footwear, trend and sustainability designer, she has decided to return to her home country. There she has found the opportunity to use the local skills and craftsmanship to make one of a kind handcrafted and handwoven shoes and accessories. Her love for colour, materials and attention to detail has inspired her to develop traditional greek sandals with handmade handwoven pieces.
Her aim is to bring to people the appreciation and love of sustainability,texture, colour and craftsmanship, away from mass produced shoes. The weavings are made in her studio then assembled by local craftsmen, where the best leathers and techniques are used to create the finished product.
Her label aims to work towards sustainable cradle to cradle product while giving back to her community and preserving the techniques of weaving and shoe making.
