began designing machines for quality control

began designing clothes and footwear for young people and found difficulty in getting one off pieces made. intention was that each person chose their own colours so that each item was unique. continued to bang my head against mfg companies only happy to 10,000 moqs and then turned 180 degrees and found silk, in particular silk hand rolled and hand stitched in como italy. happy to make small moqs.
started designing pocketsquares and soon found the size constraining and moved to 90x90 cm and love the size.
love colour and being self taught i have no boundaries to tell me my work is too bright or too out there or non conforming. i only know i love what i do. unfortunately designing and marketing are two very different beasts, and while i design from my heart i do not sell from my heart. i am slightly naive in the marketing area and wish i could just design instead of keyword research or seo.
some of my designs make me very emotional as i finish them, i hope one day that all of my work makes me emotional. i take inspiration from the year round sunshine, empty white sand beaches, giant karri forests and happy out look that most of the locals seem to have. perth is probably the least likely place to start a design business from ( i have asked myself why many times!) but im here now, so onward one step at a time.
