Theodore Glickman established his label in 2013 after arriving in Berlin, with the intent to create interesting, elegant, and grounded menswear. After living in Los Angeles and then moving to Berlin, his design approach reflects comfortable, Southern California ease combined with understated, European refinement. Although Teddy Glickman is rooted in the aesthetic tradition of menswear, it is intended for people of all genders to enjoy.
Teddy Glickman gets his inspiration from his great-grandfather who in 1943 founded Joan-Dell, a dress company in New York City. With an emphasis on quality fabrics and finishings, Joan-Dell thrived for many decades, and Teddy continues this legacy. Fabrics are sourced with quality and ecological sustainability in mind, and each item is inspected thoroughly. All items are handmade in Berlin, Germany.
