TANIA GEORGE

I was born in Amman, Jordan where I was exposed to drawing and painting since the age of 11 years old.
At the age of 18 I moved to Lugano, Switzerland to study visual and communication arts at Franklin University, where I realized I had so much to discover, I was a small girl in a big world... I spent three years exploring Europe, traveling to different countries to gain exposure and understand art from a whole new perspective.

Though I did not stop there, I moved to Italy to complete my master’s degree in fashion design at POLIMODA. I spent two years at one of the most inspiring places in the world, Florence. It not only helped me develop my skill as a fashion designer but an artist as a whole.
I then understood the way to form a collection under one theme and develop great ideas from deep research and uncovering new things around me.

I combined my illustrations skills with fashion working at Stamperia Fiorentina, a textile design company that produces for worldwide fashion companies such as Louis Vuitton and Prada. I worked with silk-screen and creating prints on Photoshop and Illustrator from scratch or simply trying new color variations for existing prints.

I then moved to New York where I have had many different experiences such as working at Tibi, New York. This helped me understand contemporary brands more, from the designing process to the production of the awesome outfits.

I also have had experience with jewelry design and production from the internship at Moises De La Renta, where we produced amazing gold pieces in New York and launched it as Messier 31 jewelry. My experience with knitwear also improved as an intern at TSE Cashmere, a classical high-end American brand. In all these internships I have worked my hardest to learn and exceed my abilities whether in designing, technical work, organization, creating new prints or simply experimenting with colors on old prints.

Having worked and lived abroad in different countries, I have an international background and speak English, Italian and Arabic. I am always open to learning new things, and work hard to improve my skills in anyway possible.
