"How does it feel to grow up in a BROTHEL"

This collection has been inspired by the life story of a boy (Wayne Thallon) who grew up in a brothel and his description of it's fascinating characters!! source: Sunday Times-Culture Magazine.
With "BROTHEL" being such a common subject within the design world and instantly creating an expected vision ( Sexy and Revealing) I decided to take my own path and picture brothel from a child's point of view: surreal, playful and quirky with exaggerated colours and shapes.
I concentrated on the characters rather than their clothes or life style as such!!
Exaggerated, abstract female figure and masculine clients clothing has inspired the silhouettes.
Each piece represents an individual character.
Original vintage 1950's inspired prints are representing a surreal world of a child and picturing his odd life experience by doodle drawings of Items, clothing and humorous faces of the ladies and their clients.
