SYNESTHESIA – a sensory phenomenon in which people see characters, numbers or music inherently coloured.

SYNESTHESIAC - Is the person who is constantly experiencing that sensation through his/her life.

Synethesiac – It resonates colour.

Tea Gelashvili is self-taught Georgian Designer, who’s biography can be divided in two parts – life before designer`s career and after that, when she fulfilled her childhood dream and aspiration to became a fashion designer. Her first profession was supported by two BA-s: one in Mechanical Engineering and second was in Business Administration and Marketing. She had an interesting and successful career in that field, for several years (2002-2012) but a desire to be a designer never vanished.
In 2014 she founded “Tekline Atelier” to design and produce her collections.
In 2016 she wins the prestigious BENEXT contest organized by the founder of the Mercedes Benz Tbilisi Fashion Week - Sofia Tchkonia and was awarded with summer course in IED.
Despite the fact of having her family - two daughters and husband - she decided to continue her studies and in Sep 2016 she wins the contest organized by Vogue Talents and Domus Academy to attend the master of Fashion Design, which she graduated successfully in Dec 2017. While studding, she had an opportunity to collaborate with such a brands as Fondazione Gianfranco Ferre, PIERMAU and VERSUS by Versace. She completed her studies with an internship in Design Studio by Monica Tempesta, where she had an opportunity to work on collections for such a brands as Jil Sander and MARNI.
In Nov 2017 Tea successfully presents her first SS18 collection on MBFW Tbilisi and after that in Feb 2018, she was invited to present her collection on White Milano within MFW. And that is when Synesthesiac was born.

Our brand offers the back-stories for each of the collections, creating elevated basics and everyday luxury with transpersonal appeal, apprised by the past. The clothes that communicate with the society, clothes used as a medium to express the beliefs, the clothes manifesting a sense of purpose and self-expression.
We are ultra-contemporary, inheriting a classic elegance and at the same time, being extraordinarily cool with highlights of ethnicity demonstrating the fashion shift, by upcycling and recycling.

This is ‘Fashion as an evolution, not by revolution’.

Our aesthetic lies in being colorful and fun and at the same time; contemporary and edgy. We let the “archetype of the girl” to wear emotionally communicative ensembles yet letting her stand out from the crowd by means of trend and attractiveness. The Synesthesiac Girl, displays a techno-streetstyle influenced by art and music. Nevertheless, she is recognized as an individual with noticeably unique taste within her personal society.
We are supporting the trend of personalization, planning and partnering with local craft communities to bring social and commercial enterprises together, adding real value and authenticity to products in the process.
