"IX" GRADUATE COLLECTION 2015

Currently I’m inspired by black and white photos of the sea. The strength of the sea, the movement of the waves, the constantly changing character. I feel anxiety reflecting in my final collection. I want to play with the movement of black waves - how the sea is so unpredictable and within minutes conditions can change radically. The theme of my final collection deals with how something familiar and safe suddenly transforms into scary and frightening.

IX got inspiration from a personal loss. I wanted to celebrate lightness and easy life, no stress about tomorrow. Why only dresses - I always feel good wearing a dress, for me this simple piece of garment represents special occasions and celebration.

The collection is for someone who isn’t afraid to shine. The pieces were designed cocktail parties in mind. There is enough of practicality in every day life anyway. Why not live every day to the fullest and take some risks?
