I grew up as the daughter of a working artist. The majority of my childhood was spent tinkering with my moms art supplies and tools, always finding new ways to utilize and appreciate traditional forms of crafts.

as a california kid, nature has been one of the biggest inspirations in my life. being fully engulfed in diverse landscapes and terrains is when i feel happiest, smallest, insignificant, and yet part of something so vast and beautiful.

sloni was born during the pandemic-- where i was reminded how deeply inspired i am by earth.

The first collection, found things ss22, was inspired by little things found in nature: spiderwebs, moss, dragonfly wings, mushrooms, ladybugs, leaves, etc.

since then, i've been exploring other sides of nature and humanity, the darker/shadow sides. reminding us how insignificant we really are in the face of environmental despair.
