The idea to create Size-A flourished from Barton’s struggle, as a petite woman, to find appropriate clothes and the industry’s neglect of small sizes. The brand was born from the desire for creatively designed, luxury clothes that can fit a range of petite women.
The first six looks that make up her first collection celebrate Barton’s Irish heritage combined with the nineties nostalgia of the post-pandemic era. The collection ‘Little Do They Know’ captures a variety of fabrics in combination with a plethora of embroidery techniques to enhance the specific symbol of each of the drops. These symbols include the Claddagh ring, the Dara knot and the St Christopher pendant.
Each look consists of the adjustable hemlines on the focal garment and is complemented with styling pieces to consolidate each look.

Size-A was established in 2021 by Birmingham-born designer Annabelle Barton, during her Master’s degree in Fashion Entrepreneurship in Design and Brand Innovation at Jimmy Choo’s JCA | London Fashion Academy in Mayfair, London. Size-A offers luxury womenswear sets to instantly fit petite women. Size-A displays structured silhouettes and an oversized aesthetic in combination with adjustable features to convey the celebration of the ‘anti-fit.’ Designed and manufactured in the UK, Size-A is set to create luxury garments that last for life and can be styled in many different ways.
