My name is Sinead Dunleavy. I am currently in the fourth year of a four year BA in Fashion Design in Limerick School of Art and Design, Ireland. I have built this website to showcase my current work. This website showcases my experience in design, knitwear and garment construction. I hope by viewing it you gain an insight into my work and my influences.

My course includes pattern cutting, garment construction, knitwear construction, drawing, presentation techniques, professional pratice and critical and contextual studies through various worshops and lectures.

Previously I completed various courses in The Grafton Academy of Dress Designing where I have gained knowledge of garment construction, illustration, design and fabric manipulation.

I have completed a six month internship with the demi-couture brand, Marchesa in New York City.

Latest Collection

Binding Threads

This collection was inspired by traditions passed down from generation to generation and from family heirlooms. The fabrics selected are all variations of cottons such as an organdie, a twill weave and pure cotton. The vine pattern is a variation of an emblem used in Mountmellick Embroidery, a local style of embroidery that has been passed down through generations.
