Nina Simovska is born 1986 in Tetovo, Republic of Macedonia. She graduated Archeology in the University Ss. Cyrilus and Methodius in Skopje. At this moment, she is finishing her master studies in the same field.
Her contact with art started at very young age. Her first group exhibition was realized as a last exam in Visual Arts through the International Baccalaureate Program in 2005. The first official solo exhibition was realized in 2011 under the title Just Because, from then on this title becomes her motto under the new brand name “Simovska Design”.
 March 2012, she took part in a workshop for contemporary designed jewelry and creative industries, supported by the Ministry of culture in collaboration with Public Room. As a result from this project, 2 plexiglas designs were made, under the name “Simovska Design for Skopje”. This project ended with group exhibition held in the national gallery “Mala Stanica” in Skopje.
 She exhibited her new collection in the showroom of the Fashion Weekend in April 2012.
 Nina had her first solo runway show on the opening of the Fashion Week in Bitola.
 She participated in the following design festivals: Mikser in Belgrade, Sofia Design Week and D-Day in Zagreb.
 At Skopje Design Week she presented her new collection under the name “Mysteries of Pleasure” in collaboration with 2 designers Ivana Knez and Karla Jwl.
 She participated in the Skopje Architecture Week with her designs devoted to the city of Skopje.
 In October 2012 she presented some of her designs on a group exhibition under the name “Macedonian Contemporary Jewelry Design” in Brussels, Belgium.

Nina is a free spirit. That is the main characteristic of the design that became known as unique. Her designs are made from zippers combined with other materials. They are conceptual, functional and with high aesthetic note. Speaking for themselves, the designs are recalling stories for small moments in time, under the main excuse “Just Because.”
