this drop, a teaser of our upcoming aw20 collection, is a meditative play on form and technique. our signature 'drip' takes its inspiration from our weaves, and is born from our designer's musical programming in max/msp. surya composes music & textures, translates that into visual shapes via a program (that he's coded). A After tweaking, we end up with these biological, chaotic, organic shapes that flow across the body. 
Sound that has no dimension, becomes 2D in the digital realm, then becomes 3D via the drip.

we've been working on hand-weaving our satin & organza for almost 11 months now, and are finally proud to present these three pieces.

our half-pleated dress is split into two halves, with beautifully articulated georgette pleats complementing a stunning hand-woven satin. Hand-dyed in our signature 'Ice' grey, this dress is guaranteed to freeze hearts in place for the holiday season. As the pleats billow and float gently, SGBG's Drip embroidery holds forth on the bodice & cuffs, a play on organic forms built via Surya's musical programming. Stunning, sophisticated.

By popular request, the Ice Drip Hoodie. Hand-dyed and hand-embroidered, this is a fresh take utilizing clean lines & a lot of careful math to create a captivating silhouette. Pair down with denim or up with a collared shirt, this is maybe the sharpest hoodie you've seen yet.

Our Ice Drip Duster takes its cue from our Drip Hoodie, featuring smart rounded pockets & see-through bindings that arc across the hand-woven organza. Beautifully hand-dyed in our signature Ice, the piece flows like a charm.
