SALLY LAU

Specialising in womenswear, Sally Lau finds her main inspiration from her Chinese family background combined with a signature use of intricate laser-cutting. A fusion of Asian and British influences in her designs are representative of her British-born Chinese identity. Sally Lau's collections usually involve an exploration of shape and silhouette with a focus on detailing. She is also inspired by the travels that she embarks upon and often, Sally uses her own original photographs to create digital print ideas for collections. Her aim is to design and create beautiful yet wearable womenswear with a utilitarian approach mixed with a high level of intricacy. Sally Lau's 'Iron Girls' S/S14 collection was also showcased on the catwalk at Graduate Fashion Week 2013
