London-based, Beirut-born fashion designer Ryan Houssari has always been fascinated with the notion of contrast. His vision of a surreal woman in a real place has lingered with him as a child who felt like his mom’s Chanel bag among the ladies who luncheon. After a BA in Fashion Design at London’s Regent’s College, internships at Julien Macdonald, Jenny Packham, Matthew Williamson and others, and a Lancome Colour Design Award in 2007, he went on to be Creative Director of a prestigious French couture house in Dubai, catering for an elite clientele of Arab socialites and princesses. As Editor-in-chief and Fashion Director of PLASTIK* magazine, Ryan has developed a sharp eye for observing trends, creating iconic editorials and becoming a voice and force in the industry.
