Victoria Rost is a Berlin-based Fashion Designer.
She creates garments with bold silhouettes and unconventional structures. Inspired by
everyday objects, her focus is on translating extraordinary shapes into garments. In exploring the ways in which an object can be wearable and become symbiotic with the human body. Characterized by an interdisciplinary approach, using manufacturing techniques and materials from a wide variety of fields, such as product design, to create garments with unique three-dimensional volumes. Pushing the boundaries by questioning its classical understanding of what a garment can be.

Her work is represented by AC PR Communication in Paris.

Latest Collection

OBJECT ORIENTED

The collection »Object Oriented« challenges the question of what’s defining an object as an object and a garment as a garment. Where do the boundaries between those fields lay? Can you wear an object for dinner? Can a garment be so immanently speaking for itself that you would look at it as a sculpture? How you feel in it? Does it make you act differently?

The collection consists of 9 wearable objects in total, taking parameters like material, affordance and feel from seating objects, which become wearable by ergonomic transformation. It provides new forms, functions and volumes, and lets the wearer question its classical understanding of what a garment can be.
